Columbia Records has confirmed that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s Working on a Dream will be released on January 27, 2009. The 12-track LP — Bruce’s 24th — was produced and mixed by Brendan O’Brien, who last helmed the band’s 2007 Magic.

The release of Guns N’ Roses’ long-awaited Chinese Democracy is less than a week away, so it’s no surprise that a couple of former Gunners are weighing in on Axl Rose’s big moment. Former Guns drummer and current Celebrity Rehab star Steven Adler wants to get in on the act. “When he gets sober they’ll accept him into the band and then they’ll do a comeback album and a world tour, that’s the dream of Steven Adler,” said Barry Gerald Sands, Adler’s lawyer. On Friday, Adler pleaded no contest to heroin possession and is hoping to be sent to rehab (again) rather than jail. He has another hearing on December 12. (More)

"Quantum of Solace," with Daniel Craig returning as Bond for the first direct sequel in the spy franchise, pulled in nearly $30 million more over its opening weekend than its predecessor, 2006's "Casino Royale," according to studio estimates Sunday.
The debut also topped the previous opening-weekend record for a Bond flick, $47 million for 2002's "Die Another Day."

So it seems that Lindsay Lohan showed up at a Paris nightclub wearing a fur stole and was pelted with a flour bomb. Animal rights activists showered the Lindsay with flour when she went to the VIP Room.
The owner helped to clean her up before she posed on the red carpet, reports say.
She's not having a good week because earlier this week she referred to President-elect Barack Obama in a TV interview as the country's "first colored president."

Michael Jackson has given up title to his Neverland ranch, transferring the deed to a company he partly controls.
The singer filed a grant deed on the ranch Monday that makes the new owner an entity called the Sycamore Valley Ranch Co. LLC, Tom Pearson of the Santa Barbara County clerk-recorder's office said Wednesday.
