Spielberg Receives Cecil B. DeMille Award
Movie audiences have two train wrecks to thank for the epic visions of Steven Spielberg - a big one, and a little one.
Whether it's killer sharks, man-eating dinosaurs, or the horrors of Omaha Beach on D-Day, Spielberg said Sunday night it was all in some way inspired by a train wreck filmed by director Cecil B. DeMille for his movie, "The Greatest Show on Earth."
Bundchen, Brady To Be New "Power Couple"
Supermodel Gisele Bundchen and superstar New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady have gotten engaged, according to a story in People magazine.
And once they get married, they'll vault toward the top of Forbes magazine's list of celebrity "power couples." Read that -- top earners.

It’s official: Blake Fielder-Civil is filing for divorce from wife Amy Winehouse, citing the singer’s alleged infidelity. Winehouse and Fielder-Civil were married in May 2007. Of course, it didn’t help that Blake Incarcerated was sentenced to 27 months in prison two months after their one-year anniversary. Winehouse has been spotted in the Caribbean, reportedly with a new man.

Iggy Pop gave his first interview since the death of Stooges’ guitarist Ron Asheton this morning, telling a pair of Detroit radio show hosts, “As long as I don’t think about it, I’m OK. And then when I think about it, I’m not OK… He had a beautiful touch as a musician.”
“He developed such a unique sound and approach to his instrument and writing that I don’t think that everybody got it at first, but over the years other generations caught on,” Pop told the Deminski & Doyle show. “I think a lot of good musicians were influenced by what Ron pioneered.”

The Zune, Microsoft’s portable music player that attempted to wrestle away some of Apple’s digital music dominance, may be ready to “throw in the towel.” The Financial Times spoke to Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer, who said the company might discontinue the device after it failed to achieve a fraction of the popularity the iPod has attained. Instead, Bill Gates and co. will focus on developing a “general purpose” device, kind of like an iPhone or that Blackberry we see so many commercials for.
